Breitling Navitimer Chrono-Matic 49 Watches for Sale
Back in 1969, Breilting was the first watchmaker to come up with the self-winding chronograph movement. This breakthrough led to the development of Breitling's Chrono-Matic (or Chronomatic) chronograph watches.
The Chrono-Matic 49 is today's version of its ancestors. The "49" designates the size of the case, which at 49mm is a very large watch. Breitling has updated the design to give it a modern feel, yet has maintained much of the original 60s angular design of the case.
Breitling Chonomatic 49 watches are branded with the Breitling symbol used from the 50s to the 70s, which is simply the Breitling name topped with a gold initial B.
In a nod to the style of years gone by, the hands are straight, the totalizers are retro and the Aero Classic bracelet is made of woven steel.
In terms of accuracy, the Breitling Chronomatic 49 is on top of the game by being powered by a 38-jewel chronometer-certified Caliber 14. In addition, the Chronomatic 49 chronometer is certified by the COSC.
